Course Overview
Course Overview
The modern mechanic is part engineer and part computer scientist. Our Certificate in Automotive Mechanics goes beyond "under the grease" repair. We provide a deep dive into internal combustion engines, transmission systems, and the increasingly important world of automotive electronics and computerized fault-finding.
Key Learning Areas
Engine Overhaul & Repair: Mastering the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of both Petrol and Diesel engines.
Transmission Systems: Understanding manual and automatic gearboxes, clutches, and drive shafts.
Braking & Suspension Systems: Ensuring vehicle safety through the maintenance of ABS, shock absorbers, and steering geometry.
Automotive Electrics & Electronics: Learning to navigate wiring diagrams, lighting systems, and battery management.
Computerized Diagnostics: Training in the use of OBD-II scanners to identify "Check Engine" lights and sensor failures.
Wheel Alignment & Balancing: Precision training in tire maintenance and suspension tuning.
Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Basics: An introductory look at the future of Ugandan transport—servicing hybrid batteries and motors.
Why Study Automotive Mechanics with Us?
Modern Workshop Facility: Access to hydraulic lifts, engine stands, and the latest diagnostic software.
