Course Overview
Our Certificate in Electrical Installation provides a solid foundation in both the theory and practice of electrical systems. Students move beyond the classroom into hands-on workshop environments, learning to design, install, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with the ERA (Electricity Regulatory Authority) standards and international safety codes.
What You Will Learn
The curriculum is structured to take you from the basics of electricity to complex industrial setups:
- Domestic Wiring: Mastering lighting circuits, socket outlets, and cooker points for residential buildings.
- Industrial Installation: Understanding three-phase systems, motor controls, and conduit installations.
- Solar PV Systems: Specialized training in renewable energy installation to meet the rising demand for solar in Uganda.
- Testing & Commissioning: Learning to use multimeters and insulation testers to certify that an installation is safe.
- Technical Drawing: Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and architectural plans.
